CTR Marketing is Important

In search engine marketing, the click-through rate (CTR) is a crucial concept. The most basic definition is that the click-through rate is the percentage of people who click on your advertisement after seeing it. (To put it another way, CTR = Clicks/Impressions.)

There are only three ways to improve your organic SEO success: (1) increasing the number of people who see your snippet; (2) increasing the number of people who click on your  snippet; or (3) increasing the number of people who become a customer (i.e., convert) on your landing page. To put it another way, search engine marketing is a "limited system." The CTR is one of such restrictions.

Your CTR is one of the most important aspects of your pages quality score. Your CTR will influence whether you keep your ranking in SEO.

Google (and, more broadly, all search engines) can be thought of as a democracy in which users vote by clicking. As a result, your CTR will be crucial to your success.
